To help reduce some of the trash challenges you may be having due to Hurricane Irma, the City of Sarasota will provide three sites where you can drop off your household trash from 8:00 am to Noon this Saturday, September 16th.  The three locations are Payne Park adjacent to the Skate Park parking lot that can be accessed off US 301, North Water Tower Park located at 4700 Rilma Avenue off 47th Street and Lido Beach located 400 Ben Franklin Drive.  These sites will NOT allow any recycling, yard waste, bulk waste and storm debris.  Please note that you can also take your trash to the Sarasota County landfill located at 4000 Knights Trail Rd, Nokomis for no charge this Saturday, September 16 between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm.

Storm debris collection will start the week of September 18th.  Please make sure to bring your storm debris items to the curb but keep it separated from your trash, recycling and regular bulk waste items. Also, provide about 3 to 5 feet spacing of your debris from any fire hydrant, water meter, street sign or light pole. Please do NOT place your storm debris in the road way or on top of storm drains.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we continue with storm recovery and work toward returning to business as usual in our special city.
