Lift Station 87 Demolition to Begin

Beginning Feb. 1, PCL Construction will begin demolishing existing structures at the Lift Station 87 site. Demolition should take between two to three weeks to complete, then site work for the new lift station will begin.

Residents can expect to see trucks and heavy equipment traveling to and departing from the Lift Station 87 site via the entrance on US 41. Construction activities will occur weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.  All demolition activities will comply with the city’s noise ordinance and measures will be taken to control dust. Vibration sensors have also been installed and will be continuously monitored to further minimize community impacts.

Traffic on US 41 should expect minimal disruption during this phase of construction. Flaggers will be used pursuant to Florida Department of Transportation’s guidelines to facilitate construction traffic and to enhance the safety of all motorists.
