I am very sorry for the disturbance. The contractor is installing the walls for the microtunnel shaft. This involves physically driving steel plates into the ground. The good news is that they will complete this work 11/19.
Regarding the communication – we issue alerts on the website (see http://liftstation87.com/alerts/) and we also email alerts to our email subscriptions list (if you’re not signed up for the project, please visit http://www.egovlink.com/sarasota/subscriptions/subscribe.asp). Also, please feel free to call our communication line if you have any questions or concerns regarding the project. The comments we get from the communication line (and from emailing the website) get logged and sent out to the project team so we ensure the issue gets resolved.
We will certainly take a look at increasing the frequency in which we issue project alerts. If you have any other suggestions as to how we can improve the communication with the neighborhood, we would love to hear them.
Regards,

Tony
