Waste collection schedule changes

Sarasota, FL:  City administrative offices will be closed Monday, December 25 and Tuesday, December 26 in observance of Christmas. Offices also will be closed New Year’s Day, Monday, January 1, 2018. 

There will be no garbage, recycling and yard waste pickup on Christmas Day, Monday, December 25.  Collection will be delayed by one day:

• Monday collection will occur one day later on Tuesday, December 26
• Tuesday collection will occur one day later on Wednesday, December 27
• Thursday and Friday collection will occur as usual

There also will be no garbage, recycling and yard waste pickup on New Year’s Day, Monday, January 1.  Collection will be delayed by one day:

• Monday collection will occur one day later on Tuesday, January 2
• Tuesday collection will be one day later on Wednesday, January 3
• Thursday and Friday collection will continue as usual

Hours of operation at recreation facilities will vary:

• Bobby Jones Golf Club, 1000 Circus Boulevard, is open 365 days a year.

Christmas Eve (Sunday, December 24): Golf Shop open 6:30 a.m.– 5:30 p.m.

Christmas Day (Monday, December 25): Golf Shop open 6:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.

• The club will host the 10th Annual ‘Reindeer Games’ on Christmas Day starting at 8:45 a.m. To register contact: 941-365-GOLF (4653)
• Non-Reindeer Games golf hours will be reduced:

  –   18 holes: 6:30 a.m. – 9 a.m.

• • 9 holes: 6:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
